Pat Molony with a Canadian spear fishing record, a 37 1/4 lb ling-cod, speared at Garrow Bay, BC. This specimen was taken while free-diving and the record was broken a decade later by a 50 lb ling-cod and then again by a 60+ pounder! C.1954.
